Marbella authorizes certification agencies to streamline urban planning procedures
Licenses relating to historic districts will be managed exclusively by the City Council.
Marbella
Citizens and developers in Marbella will be able to process affidavits, major or minor licenses, and first occupancy licenses at certification agencies in addition to the City Council and the College of Architects.
This was announced by the Councilor for Urban Planning, José Eduardo Díaz, who pointed out that this measure, included in the new ordinance, is intended to speed up urban planning procedures and reduce the time required to obtain permits.

However, technical reports on urban planning compliance in the old towns of Marbella and San Pedro cannot be processed in this way.
The new ordinance creates two new certificates: the document verification certificate, which until now was only issued by the Association of Architects, and the ITCU, which verifies that an urban development project complies with current regulations and has the same validity as the reports issued by municipal services.
